DON'T LOSE YOUR CDL DUE TO POOR HEALTH

Don't have time or access to a home cooked meal every night?

Don’t worry! This plan is specifically designed for people on the go & on the road... a lot!

Feeling better, sleeping better & more energy are extras you will get by putting a priority on your health in addition to passing the more restrictive DOT requirements.

Requirements vary by state, but overall DOT is cracking down & requiring better health results from your Med Cert. Below are benefits of our diet & workout program, some of which directly benefit you & keeping your CDL.

Lower Blood Pressure & Cholesterol

Getting in shape allows your body to become more efficient in its processing and increases its oxygen & blood flow levels - lowering blood pressure. This is one of the items that DOT is cracking down on. Allowing your body to process foods better & more efficiently with diet & exercise - creates a difference in how you feel physically & mentally. When you are mentally able to process issues, this lowers your stress (cortisol levels) which also helps keep your blood pressure lower.

Checklist

Pass DOT Physical

Some conditions that may disqualify you from passing your physical are; certain heart conditions, chest pain, heart disease, reduced blood flow through one or more coronary arteries (coronary insufficiency), risk of forming a blood clot (thrombosis), diabetes, high blood pressure & certain respiratory conditions. The medical examiner has discretion to decide to grant your DOT certification or not. By getting into shape, you give yourself the best chance of keeping your CDL & job.

Lower A1C

Choosing low in saturated fat and high in vegetables and fruit on your diet/meal plan can reliably lower A1c numbers. Exercise helps your body use insulin more efficiently - better processing the glucose in your blood. Consistent exercise can lower blood glucose & improve A1C. As a result, it lowers your risk for heart disease, stroke, & other serious diseases. Both diet & exercise will help to lower your numbers - one of the key items DOT is looking for .

Increased Energy & Endurance

When your body is able to function better & more efficiently, it allows for the extra energy that would have been spent on basic & every day functions & tasks - to be spent on other things. This could include checking off some of those honey-to-do lists, or even more quality time spent the kids after long haul. When your body can more efficiently accomplish the same amount of tasks, it allots you a little extra time & energy.

Mental Strength

Exercise combats effects of physical and mental stress while improving your  brain’s response to stress. You may not be able to reduce the daily stressors in your long day, but you can change the way you respond. At the same time, increased confidence & lowered stress chemicals help to manage the symptoms of depression & anxiety. In some cases, even 30 minutes of exercise a day is even more effective than medication! Being mentally strong can help you to make better & quicker decisions while on the road -handling traffic jams, & tight schedules a little bit better.

Avoid Injury & Sickness

Sitting for long periods of time can cause a lot of aches & pains, particularly in your back, hips, knees & legs. Less weight on your bones, helps give those joints a break - functioning better, longer. Exercise affords you the flexibility needed to get in & out of your truck with ease, unload & reload - all while being in less pain. No one wants to miss work because they didn't feel well or were in too much pain. Use your well earned PTO days for vacations, trips, hunting, fishing or something else that you actually enjoy.
